Bankroll: $4,000
System Plays: 4 concurrent
Objective: Min. $1,600 profit by Sunday
Last weekend, I jacked with three Morrison system plays and earned a verified 33 units in three days. This weekend, we have four Morrison plays and I hope to f 'em up enough to win 7 times within 4 JM chases, plus one or two juicy little parlays. My goal is to win 40 $40 units by Sunday.
Official Plays from JM:
Milwaukee [A] (this is a Money Line bet)
Unofficial Plays from JM:
San Diego [A] (this is a +1.5 Run Line bet)
Cincinnati [A] (this is a +1.5 Run Line bet)
Toronto [A] (this is a +1.5 Run Line bet)
1.) Milwaukee over the Pirates on the ML. This is the only official JM play this weekend. I am playing it straight (for now). JM plays hit with remarkable efficiency on the A bet, and I ain't betting against it. It should be noted that every square in the world is betting on Pittsburgh as a "sure underdog" in this game. Big mistake. The money line is -135 or more for a reason.
2.) San Diego over Florida on the RL +1.5. Once again, every square is gonna be on Florida in this game. The Fish have everything to lose and the Pads have nothing to gain. But the pitching match-up is a toss-up and Florida is 4-6 in their last 10, while S.D. is 5-5. I will run with this chase until San Diego wins, and for this first game I'm laying the juice on the RL.
3.) Cincinnati over the Dodgers on the RL +1.5. My favorite unofficial series. Cincinnati will win one of these three games. I'm not bothering with the RL, either. Straight up on the ML until they win. And as soon as they do, I'm on the Dodgers. This has great potential to turn into a v3 play by Saturday.
4.) Toronto over Boston on the RL +1.5. This is the worst unofficial bet of the three. I am not only counterbetting the play, I'm chasing Boston on the -1.5 RL until they crush Toronto in one of the next three games. Then I might consider taking the Blue Birds with Halladay on the mound on Sunday (the kind of big money game he needs for his suddenly failing rep).
If Milwaukee wins on the A or B bet, I'll think about Pitt on Sunday with Ohlendorf on the hill. If San Diego wins on the A bet, Florida won't be an official v3 bet, but I will switch over to them anyway. But I will be chasing the Padres until they win. If Cincinnati wins on the A bet, the Dodgers will definitely be a v3 bet and I will be on it. If I lose my counterplay on Boston on the A bet, they will be a v3 bet in the second game anyway and I will bet it heavy. I am on Boston heavy in these first two games no matter what happens.
My wagers for Friday:
$300 to win 219 on Milwaukee ML -137
$300 to win 191 on San Diego +1.5 RL -157
$300 to win 525 on Cincinnati ML +175
$330 to win 300 on Boston -1.5 RL -110
In addition to these plays, I am going to chase a 2-team parlay on the most high-odds bets on my card, whether they are ML or RL.
My parlay for Friday:
$60 to win 352 on Cincinnati ML and Milwaukee RL -1.5
For better or worse, the dice have been rolled.
