I am just curious what other poster's opinion is. After watching the Blue jays/Rays and Angels/Tigers games today. I am a bit bewildered!

Obviously it's possible to fix a baseball game but think it's highly unlikely that it actually happens in this day and age. For one there are way to many variables in a baseball game and secondly I feel the only way to truly fix a baseball game it to have many players on both teams be in on the fix or pretty much the entire team on one side.

What was so confusing about the Tampa Bay-Toronto game? Toronto's pitchers looked as though they belonged in Williamsport, Pa. Nothing hard to figure out why the Rays got tired running the bases all night.

If it happens in the NBA anything is possible. There's so much money involved, I'd imagine it's pretty unlikely there isn't some kind of collusion occuring.

If you are on the right side you never question if a game is fixed.....those that receive the bad beat think it is impossible to be that unlucky and use fixing as an excuse.

too many players involved to fix baseball, you'll never see a black sox scandle again, the players make to much money,

                      In LA on Sunday afternoon......

Cubbies up 3-1.....over is 8. If LA ties the game....good shot at getting to the number.

LA has two runners with no outs in the 8th inning.

Runner goes into second and is clearly safe but called out.
LA batter hits a pop fly into shallow middle and the ball is dropped......runner scores.....but wait! The ref claims to have called "time out" before the ball is dropped.....no runner scores..........double play.......inning over.

Plus you had the "Dumpster" pitching for the Cubbies....and if you watched that game.........LA was very obvious in "swinging away" at any ball thrown........Plus Manny was really disinterested in the game along with about 5 of his fellow Dodgers......

So is MLB fixed............I don't know.......but some very odd things went down on Sunday and I thought about that for a sec.......

Then I told myself to pick better games in the future.
