Obama concurs in his own thread, that's good enough for me. I'm actually playing the sides bet a little heavier than the under 8.5 (under 9 is nowhere to be found). I think at least one team's bats will go silent (hopefully the Yanks), but not sure that both teams will.

Yes, when the others looked like they were heading for the crapper, I took Bet 4, but I was too late to get in on Bet 5. I also had a heavy-unit bet on StL, as one of your top picks, and more dough on the Dodgers, both as single wagers. Funny, but now I am rooting for a Dodgers comeback to make things right. If they lose, the Sox game tonight won't make up for all the losses today.

Bear in mind, I made almost $1,500 on the Rangers game earlier today, so I won't be hurting too bad regardless.

You know, I can understand the Dodgers and the Marlins losing, those could have gone either way playing against pretty good teams, but the Pirates falling to the Reds and Houston just taking it in the ass from the D'backs, that was disappointing. I know the Pirates aren't any good, either, but they whipped the Reds in the previous 2 games and they had a 5-game winning streak. Then, to fall apart and hit with toothpicks against freakin' Homer Bailey, with a 7 ERA? Ugh.

And those Astros, what the hell? We knew Bud Norris was no Greg Maddux, but 6 runs in 1.0 innings of work? Houston could never climb out of that hole, even against Jon Garland.
