We know a line like 10.5 may be a trap to bet the under, but the money keeps coming in to sustain this high number. I sure didn't feel trapped when I placed my bet.

I can't guarantee the bats won't come out raking against Pettite and Penny, but this series is so crucial for both teams, I think runs will be earned in smaller quantities in the opening game. Sure, one of the veteran pitchers might give up a run or two early, but I believe they'll both buckle down and work through the middle innings in a tight game. Both bullpens are solid, which will help my cause.

I'm actually betting the Sox ML here, which means I think Brad Penny will manage to give up hits without giving up five runs. I think Andy Pettite will put in a signature game, keeping the Yankees competitive, but the Sox are feeling very confident as they are finally getting healthy again. The home crowd will help spur them on.

I envision something like a 6-3 Boston win, keeping the home winning streak alive for at least one more game and helping me cash twice on this game.

I'm 3-1 with my O/U alerts and hope to take it to 4-1 after tonight.

well i hate to go against someone elses pick but im the opposite,i think the bats will be lively and will score many,if u checked into the first game of this series as of ten years ago.the over is the play on the first game..but gl to you

I don't blame you, oiler, I can see the other side of this. In the first game of their last series at Yankee Stadium, the score was 13-6 Yanks. But then the teams combined for 14 runs in the next three games. Good luck on your play.

see thats my point exactly.they seem to come out with guns blazing the first game and the rest of them ,they barely get buy,but i will probably use them in a four team par

I know it appears that everything leans to the over, but that doesn't bother me.

I noticed after posting this thread that my under pick is the 2nd-highest rated O/U play (out of 7 plays) by Kirby Zhang. He must see some of the same factors and dynamics that I see in this game.

Nobody's right all the time. But this play jumped out at me after betting heavily on these teams the last couple months.

sorry bout this one nick. I could have seen this game going high. Didn't like the pitchers and both teams bats are hot. Jeter is .500+ in last couple of games.
