The Angels are sending lackey out again to face a Cleveland squad which he dominated July 29 3 hits 4 walks and 1 ER and a W. The angels have been hitting the ball extremely well and pretty much every hitter up and down the order is batting over 300 right now. Lackey has been pretty much lights out his last few starts racking up 7 quality starts in a row and 5 wins in that same span.
The Indians on the other hand are sending out Masterson who has been a bullpen guy since may. His numbers at times have been good but they have also been horrific at times also. The last time he faced the angels in may he had a quality start 1 er in 6 innings but got a no decision. In his last start against minnesota he got touched up for 6 runs in 3.1 innings. Also another tidbit is that Masterson hasn't pitched more than 4 innings since may. So looking for the angels to get to an over worked bullpen a little early in this one.
To me this is a no brainer the angels are hot and sending there ace out and the Indians are cold and packing it in for the year and sending out a guy who probably shouldn't be starting games and since he has been starting he hasn't been putting in starter innings.
