I dont get why they keep making the Angels +100 vs the Orioles. Santana vs Hernandez at even money? It's ridiculous but I'll take it.

In the St Louis game Carpenter is going up against a knuckleballer who has been completely bombed every time he started a game in the major leagues the last few years. A knuckle ball that does not have huge movement on it might full 'em in the minor leagues but it isn't fooling anybody in the majors. They put Carpenter at -155 vs this clown? I don't get this line either, but I'll take it.

Look at Santan's performance in his last few outings and the fact that the O's seem to perform well lately against the Halos. sunday's game excluded.

As far as the Cards. Well they seem to own the Dodgers lately! I definitely see value there!

            Cards on RL.
Dodgers struggling of late. Cards playing well. Pitching match-up looking good.

I did look at that crackhead, it is called HANDICAPPING.

Santana last 3 starts = WHIP 1.2, ERA 3.86 GB:FB .95. Santana in his last start pitched 9 innings, gave up 3 hits and 2 walks and alowed 0 runs. He only threw 97 pitches.

Let's contrast Hernandez, shall we. In his last 3 starts his whip is 2.0, ERA is 5.79, GB:FB is 1.0. He did pitch a good game last time out. Hernandez seems to pitch a good game then get smacked around a few games then pitch a good game.

Orioles are 2-5 vs the Angels last 7 games, going back to July 2.

Why would you exclude Sunday's game? The orioles got smacked around pretty good. As they did on July 2, July 4, July 5, and August 15.

Even money on the Angels? I'll take it.

you failed to mention that last tuesday outing against the Rays was his first game in his last nine starts where he didn't have an era under 4 runs.

Not to mention his total era 6.39 Even the Halos offense may not be able to keep up with the O's scoring off him!

I don't think people are necessarily disagreeing with you on the play, curious. Just electing to stay away from the game in general. I'm sure you've seen the stats.. Historically Santana has gotten knocked around by the Orioles..

                      Markakis: .333, 2 HR's, 8 RBI's, (9 for 24)
                      Mora: .333, 1 HR, 3 RBI's, (6 for 18)
                      Huff: .412, 1 HR, 3 RBI's, (7 for 12)
                      Scott: .300, 3 RBI's, (3 for 10)
                      Wiggington: .444, 1 HR, 3 RBI's, (4 for 9)

On the flipside the Angels have seen very little of Hernandez.. And despite in his last 3 his WHIP being about 2.00, he is coming off a good start against Oakland.. He also has shown the ability to contain the best offenses in the league.. 7.0 IP, 1 ER, IN Boston.. And 6.0 IP, 2 ER @ The Yankees in the BandBox..

Also this pitching matchup was already played in Anaheim, and the O's won 6-4.. Santana is 1-2 against the O's in his last 3 against them.. If I HAD to take a team..

It would be Baltimore -105.. Good luck, though!

Edit: Also in regards to the Cardinals and Dodgers game.. Carpenter is as good as they come and everything but Charlie Haegar is a knuckleball pitcher.. And if you look at the main RBI guys for St. Louis against Tim Wakefield they aren't very good. I know its two different people but still.

I'd elect to stay away from this one as well.. The Dodgers just dropped a 9 spot, their bats may be coming alive.

yes they dropped 9 but unfortunately randy wolf will not be in their lineup tomorrow. he went 3-4 today with 3rbi's. also they faced a pretty bad pitcher in petit.

santana has been very good since coming off the DL.. look at his last few outings???.. what are you crazy.. his whip on the road is a respectable 1.2 and he just shut out one of the best hitting teams at home (tb).. baltys best chance of winning was on sunday.. if the angels score just an average amount of runs for them they will win.. hernandez whip in last 3 is 1.7 and laa has payback on their mind for hernandez beating them in la in july.. also hernandez last 2 games at home was a loss w/ no run support and a 1 run win over the a's again w/ little run support (3 runs).. gotta play angels and under if you fool w/ this game

Well angels are tearing it up again, 8-3 so far, still going though. Thinking the angels could drop at least a dime piece by the end of this one.
