The way last nights game went it is hard to trust the Rays on the RL, but this is coming from someone that hardly ever plays RL's. I do like the fact that the Rays were up 5-1 in the 7th with King on the mound.....they appeared to have the game won multiple times including in the 11th, until a 2 out 2 run walk off from Langerhans. So they should be fired up knowing they let one get away that could have moved them closer to the Red Sox in the Wild Card race.
Snell makes me nervous, besides the fact Tampa has never faced him, he'll be making his 1st start @ home with his new team, so I see him being focused. In his 1st start with Seattle @ Texas he went 6 Innings, only allowing 3 Hits and 2 Runs.
It just seems pitchers always want to prove they were worth the trade:
Cliff Lee 1st 2 starts: @ Giants 9 Innings 1 Run, Home vs Rockies 7 Innings 1 Run (won both contest)
Clayton Richard 1st 2 starts: Home vs Brewers 5.2 Innings 1 Run, Home vs Mets 5.2 Innings 3 Runs (won both contest)
Tom Gorzelanny only start w/ Cubs: @ Reds 7.1 Innings 1 Run (win)
Kevin Hart only start w/ Pirates: Home vs Dbacks 6 Innings 3 Runs (no decision)
etc.....
Shields has been very unpredictable lately, TB has lost 4 of his last 5 starts and the win was a game @ Kansas City were he was shelled lasting 5.1 Innings, giving up 11 Hits leading to 7 Runs. A 2 out 2 run homer from Longoria in the 8th got him off the hook and eventually gave the Rays the win.
Big Game James also hasn't been receiving the same run support as some of the other starters on the staff, the Rays have scored 3 runs or less in half of Shields starts. Including his last start @ home vs the Royals where he went 7.1 Innings only allowing 2 Hits & 1 Run and was charged with the loss.
His only start vs the Mariners this year he went 7.1 Innings only allowed 4 Hits & 1 Run and was charged with the loss.
I figured someone should play devils advocate, just think this game is far from a lock.....

Do I need to run everything by you first, lol....Pick 3 is a free contest that I just started yesterday, those are games that I wanted to bet on but didn't, so if they win the Pick 3 is a small consolation prize. I liked the Brewers and stuck with them, at first glance the Rays appeared to be a strong play as well, however after researching the game I decided it wasn't as strong as I originally thought....therefore making it a no play, that is not to say they might not win just my opinion. You see "king" a lot can change in 10 hours, I don't lock in anything before I review line movement, lineups, and where I think the $ are, all that is very difficult to figure out as soon as the lines open. Perfect example, I had no interest in the Royals until I saw Anderson was not starting for the A's, when a line goes from -140 to -220 that catches my attention.....
