The Giants are 8-2 in their last 10 games, playing great baseball and getting the job done offensively as well as their usual dominant pitching. Of those eight wins, six have come by 2+ runs.
The Cincinnati Reds are trending in the opposite direction. Their win last night broke an eight game losing streak. The Reds have lost 14 of their last 16 games. The most remarkable thing about that stretch is the number of one run games; just one. Both of their wins were by 2+ runs, and 13 of the 14 losses were by more than one run.
