Seattle has already signed its 2017 first-round back to a six-year, $24 million deal. It’s backloaded to reward him the most by 2024 but White has the inside track on the opening-day first-base job on a rebuilding club. White, 23, has played only four games above Class AA. The transition is steep, but the polished player has hit at every level so far.
