Everyone knows Santana is hot. Pineiro been good lately also. He only has 5 runs credited to him in the last 6 games in 37 innings pitched against teams like LAD, PHI, and ARI. He's 3-0 in his last 5 with a 1.22 ERA according to ESPN.com. Might be close. I'm staying away from this one myself.

Holliday has been red hot, Mets bats got hot against one of the best pitchers yesterday but a bit too late. This game can turn into a shootout IMO.

Starters are good. Its the bullpen I'd be worried about. Even Verlander got lit up in the 1st yesterday. Nothing is ever certain in Baseball (I'm finding out the hard way). BoL in whichever you choose.

                    UNDER.

Believe it or not, Pineiro has a lower ERA and WHIP than Santana this season, and he has allowed three earned runs or less in 13 of his last 14 starts!

Also, both starters have dominated their opponent tonight lately.

                          My 2 cents bol

On Tuesday the NL totals system play is on the under in the Mets-Cardinals game.Rotation numbers 959/60 at 7:10 eastern. This game actually fits 2 solid totals systems.Lets take a peek at one. What were looking to do is play the under in games involving teams off huge home favored loss, such as the Cards big loss on Sunday to Houston as a -200+ fav. These teams have gone under every time if they lost the game by 2+ runs and scored 2 or less runs. This system plays right into the big 2-0 shutout loss the Cards suffered on Sunday. The pitching matchup is of no help for either team as the Cards take on J.Santanna.In his home starts he has a 1.69 era.The Mets have gone under in 7 of his 10 home starts and he has handled the Cards in his last 2 outings against them, allowing just 2 runs in 16 innings. The Cards have improved righty J.Piniero going tonight and he has been super solid of late. His era over his last 3 starts is 0.86.He has a 3.37 road era this year with St.Louis going under in 7 of his 10 road starts.Pinerio has been especially tough on the Mets this year allowing just 2 runs in 17 innings pitched. The Cardinals have gone under in 5 of 6 off a day off,5 of 7 when the total is 7 or less,10 of 15 as a road dog in this range and have gone under the total in their last 5 games. They hit a paltry .249 vs leftys averaging just 3.8 runs and are hitting .240 over the last even with M.Holliday.Seven runs may not seem like alot but how will these teams get runs tonight? It wont be easy Ill take the under here.bol.GC

It will either stay under 5 or go over 10. That's how such games end.
