    Tuesday Value Plays
    I went 0-2 -2.00 units yesterday. To recap: Braves -108 (L), Orioles +245 (L)

I will post later when I see the lineups. In the meantime, feel free to post your value plays here.

I don't disagree with this play. I just don't like betting on shit teams. Pads could win here as a home underdog versus a Braves team that couldn't beat them without their only legit hitter.

I see the Red Sox/Rays game as a tossup. Both teams are talented. Red Sox now have Victor, I would stay away. As for the Royals game, I think I like the other side of this one. The Mariners get Adrian Beltre back today, which makes their offense a little better. If the Mariners have Gutierrez, Beltre, Wilson, Ichiro, and Branyan, I would take them today for sure at -108.

I don't understand how the Angels are so good. They are a road favorite versus a team that has been winning at home of late. Yanks could be good. The Jays defense suffers at 3b with Encarnacion there instead of Rolen. Although, I don't like to fade Halladay.

Garza is a plague to the Red Sox and Tampa is a plague to Lester. I don't fade Tampa at home in a seemingly toss-up game. Rays RL will cash in that game. That's Tampa for you.

Royals have the Mariners numbers but we'll see. Plus, the Royals tend to win when you least expect them to. Hochevar will enjoy good run support tonight. Just don't take Royals when Greinke takes the mound.

What you are saying about Garza may be true overall. But that does not mean that he can't have a bad game here, nor does it mean that Lester can't have a good game. I won't touch games between the three AL East teams: Rays, Red Sox, Yankees.

Betting on the Royals against teams that are better than them is asking to lose money. The Mariners have a better defense, bullpen, and possibly offense. Hochevar will be an ace one day. the only real advantage KC has in this one is starting pitching and being at home. Unless the starter is really good or really bad, I don't think they are relevant. There is no way we can predict how they will do in this game. Look at Rowland-Smith last week, taking a no hitter into the 6th and outdueling Halladay. Nobody could have seen that coming. Thus, I only consider the Royals being at home as their only true, proven advantage.

It's safe to say that I can post my Mariners -106 play. No one in the Royals lineup scares me and I know that Beltre will be in the lineup today, which is a plus. The Mariners have a better defense, bullpen, and offense with Beltre back.

                    T-bone,

What's your rationale for the White Sox pick?

It's a hunch(value) play, I can see Contreras throwing a gem. Not many Angels have good numbers against him except Abreu. Lackey is very hittable on the road and the White Sox lineup is as dangerous power wise as anyone.

You can't go wrong with a home underdog like Chisox today. I'm just scared of the Angels. Astros -106 is good provided the lineups are right.

I can't fade a team when there's nothing wrong with them. A 17-3 run is no mean feat. People wasted their money fading the Angels each day of the Angels/Twins series and what did they get out of it? I think the Angels RL and Over will cash tonight. On current form, the Angels have both the offensive and defensive edge.

I agree with your over play but the value is on the White Sox I think. Only made 2 plays so far both on the D-backs/Pirates total.

                            Good luck guys

I like Dodgers -129. It's the better team all around at home.
