Hernandez is coming off his first loss in 12 outings. He allowed a season-high seven runs and 11 hits before being pulled after throwing 103 pitches in 5 2-3 innings of Monday's 11-4 home defeat to the Blue Jays. Hernandez had gone 7-0 with a 1.30 ERA in his previous 11 starts, 10 of which Seattle won.
Hernandez is 1-5 with a 3.65 ERA in his last nine starts against the Rangers.

Tommy Hunter (3-1, 2.00) is looking to win a fourth consecutive decision.
Is 3-0 with a 1.11 ERA in his last four starts, including a solid performance in a 3-1 loss at Seattle on July 9.

In that outing, Hunter allowed four hits in six scoreless innings.
He's won both of his starts since, yielding two runs and nine hits in 13 innings.

Both are good pitchers and thats usually the give away !! When two proven pitchers who are slated to offer a fine performance head-to-head it so often happens that one of them doesn't quite bring it unlike the other.

Just like Burnett and Danks match up today. A.J. hasnt done anything impressive yet tonight.

                      Yeah thanks.

However I almost called the Padres/Brewers game under after suspecting that this could be a BAIT of a line just like the Cubs / Marlins line yesterday which was heavily expected to go OVER. I called that UNDER and it did go UNDER.

I suspected this too but went with the OVER. Venable didnt come through as expected here.
