Yet another blow up/bankroll tilting again
i'm notorious for building $100 into 5-10k range over a 1-2 month span. Only problem is that when i lose, i chase hard, and it all collapses, happens multiple times. I swear i'll be so good, i'll be picking 80% winners for weeks, then when i go really big, i hit my losing streak.

Just Lost three in a row, on Halladay, Pettite, Lohse (Cards fan!). Down to 1k from a 5k, 5 week, run.

    I can't stand it, so in typical MattK8S fashion, here's a 1K throw-away parlay for Sunday

    1K to win 2,100

    Tampa
    Texas

Watch and witness some 9th inning error or passed ball or some freak accident cost me my bankroll, because I won't be back till September.

Been there before...never ending cycle. No matter who you are you will hit a could streak every so often and it will destroy your bankroll without money management. Always nice to win bigger when you feel untouchable but things can change so fast...no money management takes a lot out of the game.

yeah, i suck, my biggest problem is that i think i can predict what is going to happen in every game i bet on, i let a lot of games pass, but when i think i have a read, i go hard, doesn't happen 100% of the time, yet i still bet, insanity at its finest. Tampa and Texas, Rays and Rangers, alliteration is on my side tomorrow.

haha I hear ya there...always sucks winning and then saying why didn't I put X amount on it. Hard to predict the way the ball bounces and bad beats seem to show up in flocks. All the best...hope it works out for ya.

i'm also a dreamer, rather be up 10K, i'll be re-loaded with over 5k for CFB anyway, my best sport. That's why i'm hoping i'm up deep into 5 digits come then. Not reasoning with a sane person, when you're reasoning with me. I'm starting to feel it for tomorrow, my clairvoyance is coming back, got another big one for monday.

GL with your parlay, Matt, but my advice would be avoid the parlays altogether. Sure, you might hit one, but you know you probably won't. You have to predict outcomes 2-0 instead of 1-0. You say you know how to quickly build up a bankroll, but then you're willing to blow the last of your money on a parlay. Think rationally, like you usually do. And next time you build up the BR, don't get greedy. You CANNOT predict what will happen next.

This happens to most of us. It's in our blood. The gamblers blood.

This is why i set a cap on my bets. $300 Max per bet. DISCIPLINE is the key to gambling. Because of this cap and discipline, it has been my best MLB season so far. I used to parlay all the time and be in the negative, now 95% of my bets are single bets. Patience in building the bankroll is also key. Slowly slowly.

If i make an average of $500 profit a week, i call that a good week. It's like having a 2nd job that is fun but not really working for it.

It really depends how you see things. If you are trying to become rich with gambling, then it's understandable you will risk more in the process. But if you are like me and you see gambling as a 2nd income to pay your bills and to go out and get plastered with your friends then waking up next to an ugly chick who looked good the night before, then you should follow my lead.
