Nice call today. Have the Nats been this high of a favorite so far this year? While I enjoy fading them, I can't help but feel nervous. Why would the books set these odds if there was not some sort of validity here?

Perez is brutal! I'd never take Nats -150 but I cannot bet on Perez. Nats will win this one tonight. Maybe... lol

The funny thing is the line might even get better. Washington has their ace on the mound and people think he could win the game.

Yesterday was a joke with a kid making his major league debut...
Today, though, the line is pretty accurate. Lannan is extremely reliable, and Oliver Perez is pretty terrible.

Perez is downright terrible. Mark my words, this is the best chance the Nats have to win a game all season. LOL

It doesnt matter guys, the Nationals are soo bad they will find a way to lose this game.... They always find new ways to lose games, dont think of how bad the Mets are, think of how bad the Nats are.
Think of it this way, we are getting PLUS money to fade the Nats. Thats a fkn gift.
Dont be nervous, just lay Mets +136 and even if we lose, so what, we will make it back tomorrow.

The line is there for a reason, and the reason is not because of insanity or books like giving away free money. The market has elected to keep the price trading around the open because they feel oddsmakers were right. The only thing the Mets have the advantage in for this game is a bullpen edge, an advantage that can be masked by Lannan's ability to eat up innings, and Perez's inability to do such, which exposes a vulnerable underbelly to their pen.

Lannan, not Lanahan.
Maybe you're thinking of Joel Hanrahan? He's on the Pirates now.

I cannot lay juice on the Nats and I also cannot ignore the line which is there for a reason. I'll go with the Nats -1.5 (+140) and line up 10 shots of tequila and get drunk.

The market is not discounting the lineup information that increases the Mets value.
