New, better winners have emerged in this contest. My picks had a 100% day returning my bank to $2450. It had hit $1900 a week ago then dropped to $650 in that losing streak. I made a round robin and as an afterthought, put $10 on the full parlay. I even found I could hit oddsmaker with > $50 limit by playing Point Spread (-1.5) -115 $50 then ML @ -230 $50, over 8 $50 and F5 $50

$2.45 This is a fun read. Written in 1961, Scarne wrote about a Las Vegas lady waitress who accepted horse race bets for "Bill."* Bill would pick up the bet money and she got her commission. One day Bill did not show up, likely buried in the desert. She worried a great deal until she did not have to pay out of her own pocket. She later does little waitressing because she cut a deal with the restaurant to be the in-house bookie wearing the blue uniform. She tells John "I buy a new Cadillac car every six months..." and more I don't remember. In 1961, horse racing was the biggest popular sport to watch by ticket sales.

This is why clouds float.Higher humidity air (at the same temperature) is less dense which works a bit like higher altitude so hit baseballs will travel further and pitched balls will curve less. Essentially, water vapor molecules H2O are lighter than O2 or N2 molecules thus the more water vapor molecules that are present, the lighter the air is per unit volume and thus the less dense it is.
