Thanks... One of the things about my system is that it never gives heavy favorites... It just isn't set up that way. Nothing worse than some handicapper telling you to take the Yankees - 200

Nice work so far. Yeah, I don’t understand gamblers not understanding or getting confused on using units when it’s a basic concept in sports betting, especially when your dealing with odds and such. However, not just you, but this goes to others as well. I don’t understand what’s so bad about picking a team highly juiced, when you just played today 3 games totaling-325 if 0-3. Sometimes a highly juiced team is a good or best pick.

Please look again. My 3 plays yesterday add up to nothing close to what you said. I had a -120, a -105 and a +125...how does that equal "-325" as a total?

So I’m confused on you being confused. But you think it’s absurd to take NYY -200 as you used as an example.

It's a money management/value style. For example you play 3 favs at 170 and lose them all. Minus 510. You take the above listed plays and lose them all- minus 325. Go 2 and 1 on the favs and lose 240. Go 2 and 1 on the dog/cheap fav and the worst you do is -105. If the heavy favorites won each time they the are expected to, it would be great. But you and I know they don't and won't. Money lines are based a lot on the starting pitchers, but if the bull pen is questionable, who knows what happens. Personally, I like Silver's style and appreciate him giving out the information daily. In the long run, the heavy juice makes the books very profitable. Like at Blackjack, doubling down, splitting aces, insurance- if it looks to good, be very skeptical.

Yes, because if you lose ONE -200 play you have to win 2 games to make up for it. I dont subscribe to a theory that all winning plays are necessarily smart ones.

You may consider a bettor to be "smart" if they take the Pats -560 over the Bills on the moneyline, even if it wins, I consider that a poor play..

There is no value in doing what you are suggesting long term (taking -200 plays), with all respect due. I minimize risk and maximize reward.

Best of luck and if you find a way to take -200 and -225 favorites and win long term, I am glad that works for you. It wont work for most, trust me.
