    Jays starting pitchers shutout streak
Blue Jays starting pitching shutout streak to begin a season now at 23 innings which is a Jays franchise record. Anyone knows what the MLB record is for such a streak to begin a season? Maybe on SDQL?

it's actually 24 innings for starting pitching scoreless streak to start the Jays season. Thornton was lifted after 5. Just curious what the MLB record is?

Actually the starters for the Braves in 1996 had a 25 consecutive shutout innings to begin the season but not sure if that was the MLB record or not. Jays just need to shutout the first inning to top that tomorrow.
