considering that Verlander is 6-10 with a 5.74 ERA and 1.343 WHIP in his career, but he is 2-0 with 0.56 ERA and a 0.562 Whip against them this season...

dont get me wrong...I think its a good value play to take CLE today...but Verlander also could shut them out today or worse...also considering the tigers are only hitting under .250 right now... so it is worth a shot for sure...

I'm still deciding if I want to play it or not. Ohka hasn't been THAT bad anyway.

Somethings to consider about the CLE @ DET game today:
* Ohka is 0-2 with a 9.28 ERA as a SP verses DET - what makes you think he's gotten his

together enough for today?
* JV is 5-0 with a M.L.B. BEST ERA of 1.54 - he pitches extremely well at home.
* JV has already beaten CLE twice this season (home and away) & has a 0.56 ERA
* "Caboom" has his 11 game hitting streak still intact - you don't think he's licking his chops at the "new meat"?

TA, you make some good points. Ohka hasn't shown me that he is worthy of any value plays at all. I'm going to lay off this game and root for my tribe!

well...2 games against the Tigers in his career and they lit him up both times fr a combined 8.49 ERA and a 1.875 WHIP...well it is more a fade Verlander play anyway...

Thank you thegenix. All I wanted to do is make people (more) aware of some of the "fluff" (as I call it - the stats/projections used to support the position). Nothing wrong with rooting for your team, especially when there's no money in play.
