After taking a cooler loss with the Pirates +210 where they imploded in the bottom of the ninth inning, giving up five runs, I considered taking a day off, but the contrarian nation would probably be disappointed. Nonetheless, I will post one game today in order to show discipline under steaming conditions. After taking a big loss, not in terms of money, or unit count, just psychologically. I don't like to make numerous plays.

I will post one for the day, too make sure that my steaming attitude does not cloud my judgement. Next post will contain the selection.

Selection

We continue with the Braves tonight after winning last night. Medlen comes in after his first win of the season against a dynamic that I do not talk about often. The Rockies after watching last nights game are starting to flatten out a bit. They have taken two losses in a row at home which psychologically for a team that has been rolling, will give them some consternation. As for the Braves, the dynamic is simply going on the road and beating a hot team. I look for the Braves to handle the Rockies again. Yesterday's post I mentioned that the Braves last five opponents have been playing .507 ball, comparison to the Rockies opponents playing .467 ball. Look for the Braves to take the third game in a row at a sweet price.

That Pirates game was a mess. I was on them too. I checked the score in the 8th inning and thought "Oh, this is a nice win." Then when I checked my account balance later that night I was shocked to see they lost.

Oh well. We all know it's gonna happen at one time or another. You'll get 'em today. Thanks for posting, PoF.

It's nice to know that I was not alone in the cooler last night. It has passed and I am focused on restoring the win streak. At the worst, the Pirates result made me a -1.05 unit loser for the night. Did you check out my Braves angle?

It's Official

Another tough one today, that is why after a cooler loss I only make one play in order for any possible steaming to effect my analysis. The two coolers in a row are not something out of the ordinary. Nonetheless, bankroll management did not adversely effect my long term return, just a blip on the contrarian map.

We will take our unit count and getem tomorrow. The difference between a quality capper and a degenerate is sound money management.
