True, but basically Arizona is craptacular, and their win streak is now 5 just because they played the even more craptacular Padres. If it wasn't for poor pitching, errors and poor hitting on the side of the Padres the D-backs never would have had a streak. Yesterday: 8 hits, only 2 runs actually earned out of the 6 they scored. Tuesday: 6 hits, only 3 earned runs. The day before that they did have 6 earned runs on 13 hits, but against the crappy Walter Silva. To add to that, D-backs are 8-15 against lefty starters and they're not much of a home team, whereas Marlins don't seem to be that bad in away games.

Starting pitching may not be everything, but a starter like Petit who'll give up probably at least 3 runs on his own while not lasting long will make it very hard for a light hitting team like Arizona to win that game. Just my $0.02.

Seems pretty good to me, Arizona is a chump team. Getting way too much respect because of this "winning streak"... Gimme a fkn break, they played SD, who blew the lead twice.

The fact that they were LOSING to SD says enough.

Arizona has 5 straight wins and all of them came on comebacks, all since Mark Reynolds swore on tele and basically called out the entire team.

Beware when backing against hot teams, regardless of who they are.

I don't know who you are talking to but I was on FL and I wouldn't call them trash. They suck but they aren't total garbage.

I dont' buy into this line movement nonsense. Maybe in televised NFL games. MAYBE. But in a sport that has 2400 games? NO way.
