Enog has some enemies that he will never win over and some who hated his attitude (like me) who have softened over time because we realize that even though his attitude is similar to a lot of swaggering dumb asses on this board, at least he posts an honest record in this thread and he doesn't go away even though many wish he would. As a capper, his track record is spotty but he's had his moments and only time will tell if he's the real deal.

C'mon, egog, a 4-5 day is not exactly choking. Hell, you've had worse days! And you've had plenty better, too, which is why you managed to get up for the year despite a slow start.

BTW, I hit on the grand salami today, taking the over 134.5 and kicking its ass. Don't give up on that play; you had the right call a couple nights ago and it went in the shitter, but that happens. I've probably won 6 out of 9 times I played the salami. To me, it seems like an easy mark. It takes more of a "sense of where things stand compared to all of the over/unders" and studying the pitching trends, but it's a very winnable bet.

The pitching trends are where I think a system could be built. As I said before, it would take a nice database or a lot of homework, but recent pitching performances and recent innings scored per team per game could be factored into a system that would trump the standard book analyses that rely on starting and bullpen ERAs.

yea nick it was all on me last night, the way i split it up i had left only a few bucks in my 5dimes account.. i was chasing a few loses and got a bit careless. terrible money management to say the least. im no liar and i im keeping it real. this is my first season betting baseball, and ive been doing alright, been more up than i have been down. so it was a nice lesson, i put my remaining amount on oak+1.5 rl tonight, if it hits il start rebuilding my account, if not il just reload one more time and start over.

Now that's manning up! Good luck with all your future plays ujacol. I've been down to scraps myself and reloaded many times. Eventually, you realize smart money management is your only hope to survive long-term. There have been many times in the past few months when I briefly thought, "oh my God, this is it! The oddsmakers screwed up, I've got 'em now, I'm going 20 units on this one!" I have never regretted it when I only put three units on it, because I've lost those as often as I've won them.

In crazy times, I've been known to bet up to 9 units or something, and even 16 or more units on a late chase, and they usually come through, but I am trying to stay saner these days.
