DOGS PICKS for 7/5/09
Went 2 and 3 yesterday with the cubs and the Twins over not hitting but hopefully can make up for it today.
White Sox win- Bannister last 3 starts the royals have given him no runs support and have lost his last 3 starts and has yet to go a start against the Sox where he hasnt given up 4 runs or more in his career. Also the white Sox have given richards a ton of run support in his last 3 starts. Thinking that will carry over today.
Pirates fade or win- Pirates have Ross Ohlendorf pitching and he is pitching well lately and is suppose to be good in the future for the Pirates. Marlins are starting Nolasco who is 5-0 in his last 5 starts not allowing more than 4 runs. Nolasco is pitching way over his potential right now and will cool off. I think the Pirates small ball offense will get to him today and stop his win streak.
Tigers ml- Tigers are throwing young gun Porcello who has found his form again after a bit a trouble in the middle of the season. After not giving a great performance his last time out he will lookto rebound against the twins and take a big series for the tigers. The twins throw Blackburn who has been good of late but get no run support by the twins and porcello will continue that trend today with a solid outing
