The Pirates have gone 13-2 in their last 15 games and in position to make a legitimate run at the playoffs during the stretch run.
Joe Musgrove has held his own for the Pirates this season. He has gone 4-4 with a 3.90 ERA and 1.317 WHIP in 10 starts. He held the Indians to just 2 earned runs in 7 innings in his last start to get the win as a +160 dawg.
Zack Wheeler shouldn’t be getting this much respect. He has gone 4-6 with a 4.33 ERA and 1.303 WHIP in 19 starts for the Mets this season.
New York is 1-8 off a shutout loss this season.
New York is 4-11 in Wheeler’s last 15 starts. The Pirates are 8-1 in their last nine home games.
