Weather Report - Thu, June 25
    Cubs at Tigers, 1:05 ET
Trying to get some more info from Deuce on this one since it is a bit threatening. Weather.com shows a high of about 90° and a 60% chance of rain, listing the possibility of t-storms that could produce hail. Winds are out of the West at 10-15 MPH (blowing from 1B out to LF).

UPDATE: According to Deuce, it's going to just be cloudy, hot & humid, with the storms not due until late afternoon (5-6 p.m.).

First pitch should find the temp in the mid-to-upper 80s. No wind to speak of and just listing a 10% chance of rain under partly cloudy skies.

I have a Q for you Willie Bee. Any way of getting ACCURATE (pre-game, obviously) info on the roof being open or closed for Arizona home games? The info at MLB.com is often wrong, in fact in my experience I would say that if MLB.com says the roof will be open, it's more often than not closed, and vice versa. Sometimes of course, what MLB.com says does wind up being true though.

Anyone else notice this? Nothing more frustrating than capping a game for a closed or open roof, and having it turn out to be the opposite.

HG, I called up the stadium and got transferred to their media relations department. And since you and I both know that the media is controlled by the liberals, there's no telling if the information I got is valid

Anyway, according to Morgan -- She sounded about 13-yrs old -- the roof will be open tonight as it was last night when it was 101° at first pitch. However, I'm not sure Morgan has looked at the weather forecast for today that shows a 30% chance of isolated thunderstorms, tapering off as we head towards game time. Winds 5-10 MPH out of West (from LF corner to RF corner).

A number to keep handy for this info or just if you want to talk to Morgan: 602.462.6500.

I can give you Braves weather updates if needed. 90 degrees with 50% humidity with no wind which means Lowe will be sweating a lot. He hates the heat.

VERY sorry to interrupt the Michael Jackson stuff, but you see what I mean Willie Bee?? MLB.com right now says roof closed for the game.

This is great info though, I will definitely call Morgan in a pinch if I need to. I will explain to her that I MUST know about the roof because I am very sensitive to heat.

Ok, I see it also says 79°, and there's no way they'd close it in Phoenix in late-June when it was 79° unless there was a threat of rain. If it really is 79°, they thought it might rain.

right, the 79 refers to the temperature inside the dome, the temp outside is at the very bottom, to the left, it says 92.

But as I said, this gameday link that I use is often wrong in Arizona, and ONLY in Arizona - for the others, it's rarely if ever wrong.

In fact, based on my experience, I predict it will be wrong tonight, I think the roof will wind up open. It was open last night when it was hotter, I think the roof will be open again.

I didn't see the outside temp, just that 79/closed. Sorry about that, but you might be right when you say the game ends with the roof open. I specifically asked about this however when I called. They do that in Houston a lot, start the game with the roof closed, AC on and then about the sixth or seventh, open it up.

Do we have any posters going to a D-backs night game in the near future?

yeah, open roof now reported, in the first inning, just as I suspected.
