    Rockies Manager
This guy's decision to leave Jiminez (SP?) in the game to start the 8th was ridiculous. There were about 5 different oppurtunities to pull the starter. not to mention he was at 108 pitches to start the inning, most likely a bit wild and fatigued.

I'mtalking about the bottom of the 8th inning specifically.

Play-by-play action for the Los Angeles Angels vs. Colorado Rockies MLB game from June 23, 2009 on ESPN.

How the hell does a defense allow 2 bunt sacrifice hits in a row? in a one run game, runner on 1st, no out. you have to expect the bunt sac to be a logical play. but shouldnt you pull your starter after he walks the tying run on base?

Now I'm ranting b/c yes, I was on Colorado, but they gave this game away. there was a couple other things they fvcked up pretty badly on, such as 0-9 w/ RISP but we've all seen that before, so no big deal.

That was ridiculous already 108 pitches the thought of him pitching another inning should have never crossed anyone's mind Jiminez had pitched his game and it was time for a reliever PERIOD. I loved Colorado tonight and the manager lost the game for them.

the thing is, once hurdle brought in the reliever, peralta i think, he got hunter to fly out and vlad to GIDP. imagine what peralta could have done if he started the 8th inning? or eevn if peralta pitched to abreu with the bases loaded no out.
