Simple! The books know that these two teams are struggling to hit the ball. They both are close to hitting at .200. The books know if they push it to 8.5 or 9 the sharps will pound the under. As a matter of fact the sharps are pounding the under now, but they will pound it more if it goes up

Oh and those stats... .235/.232.... Z you are right their team Ba's are low and yes those are a few of the stats i use in my system!

But they are both also in the bottom half in eras.... I have no clue how many runs they will score... But I am sure on the stats...

I did notice the ERA's and I actually did'nt play this. But ERA's should'nt be half of the reason why you take a total

Dudes don't gang up on Z, he made the right play here. 8 is a trappy number with such awful pitchers on the mound but the books had it right. Why wouldn't they change the line if the public was pounding the over so hard and they thought it would go over? The A's and Padres are two of the worst hitting teams in baseball and both Anderson and Silva are better pitchers than their ERA. Plus, the total went over by one, which can happen in any baseball game.

I'm happy you guys won your bets, but don't rag on Z for making an obscure and statistically backed decision that didn't pan out.
