    Too Good to be True?
    Texas -1.5 +125. 8 Units for me.

Being overly optimistic but its too good to pass. Hampton to the DL and Backe moving up to starter with a 12.00 ERA. Padilla ain't too shabby either. Any thoughts?

Already locked that in. That line will move due to the public slamming it come morning time.

I was on Rangers runline last night and got burned by Russ Ortiz having a decent game (Who'd a figured that?) as well as by Hunter Pence's glove and bat. Backe's the wild card here, don't think he's near as bad as his numbers and he's got a lotta' bulldog in him, not to mention he's done very well against the Texas hitters not named Michael Young. Is it a good bet to take the Rangers on that line? Yeah, I think so. But 'locking' it in and throwing more than a usual bet on any run line? Nope.

Willie let it be understood, by no means were my comments meant to be taken as a guarantee, or "lock." I just am very confident in that play. I like Padilla lately, and Rangers bats at home are always live.

              backe has owned texas

too many unknowns for me (although I already bet Texas ML at -150...) I may buy out if the line moves in my favor... don't know why I pulled the trigger so early... stupid me

No problem, and I wouldn't play Houston today myself...even though, they have frequently taken Game 3 after dropping the first two in Arlington. I'm probably just gun shy after seeing Texas' bats not have an easy go against Russ Ortiz last night.

interesting game, I took a good look at it last night, not sure how I'll play it, but I will say if you're going to take Texas, I like the RL way way more than the ML.

How does Backe own Texas with 1-2 record and 7.77 ERA, 21 ER's and 8 HR's given up?

Because we all know 7 7 7 wins the jackpot.

                          must have gotten them confused...

Padilla is 2-0 with a 1.80 in his last two starts against the Astros.

this is what I saw, but the (ever-changing) model that I run stats through had houston as borderline value, yet I somehow have texas -153...

no clue what I was thinking last night/early this morning

maybe you were thinking of yesterday's handicapping, Ortiz had really good stats against Texas.
