Pick 1: Washington Nationals +1.5 (+107) over New York Yankees
I liked them a little yesterday too, but not quite enough to take a stab on. With Lannan on the mound who has been pretty consistent all season for the Nationals and Wang who's been consistently terrible for the Yankees, +107 RL and +195 ML are flat out silly. I'd take a stab on the ML as well, but the Nats bullpen against the Yankees bats is not for the faint at heart.
Pick 2: Arizona Diamondbacks +150 over Kansas City Royals
I'm a big Zach Greinke fan, but this line is skewed after the DBacks got shutout by Gil Meche yesterday. Greinke has been hittable in his last three starts, all three were Kansas City losses as well. He has the potential to dominate this D-Back offense, but Max Scherzer is no slouch either, and should keep his team in there long enough to give them a chance at these long odds.
Pick 3: Tampa Bay Rays +107 over Colorado Rockies
Both Price and Cook have pitched well this year, but Price is easily the better pitcher of the two, and Tampa Bay's bats at +money against Aaron Cook isn't something I'm going to pass up on, especially with a pitcher of Price's calibur on my side.
And a favorite for good measure...
Pick 4: Detroit Tigers -121 over St. Louis Cardinals
After a rare off day by Verlander, it's easy to be timid pulling the trigger today on Jackson. But Jackson has shown no signs of slowing down this season, and Wellemeyer usually serves up batting practice to his opponents. I think Detroit evens the series up with a win tonight.
Good luck!
