Dex, Bastardo looked downright menacing the last time I saw him. Dice-K can give you six flawless at this point, although I agree he could also lay an egg. But BOS pitching depth is good so they can get him early even if he should get troubles. If all your indicators say go, then don't let me dissuade you, is just I felt real apprehensive when I saw the 3x, know what I mean?

why would you think that dice k can give you 6 flawless in philly vs this lineup off a loss? he looks horrific right now and i hope this rain delay doesnt make him a scratch the rest of the way. he had a great k/bb last out, but still got lit up for 5er in 5 inn with 10 hits. i would be shocked if the phils didnt touch him up. howard, utley, victorino, ibanez, jroll - thats a ton of lefties that he has to face.

i certainly didnt expect bastardo to get lit up that quick, but obviously he's not immune to this horrible pitchers park. this is not la and sd (where his first 2 starts were)

With the delayed start due to rain it gave me a moment to reflect on this play. The Mariners have finished 39 of their 61 games with 5 runs or less. Of those, 18 were wins (30 total wins on the year). Seattle is accustomed to winning tight low scoring affairs with their solid pitching but lack of offense. I'm using this for the opportunity at a correlated parlay, taking the Mariners ML and the under 10.5.

Dex, it's just I have watched him pitch some real strong games coming off of disaster games. He can be like that, and when he rolls, he rolls. He has gradually thrown more of his pitches for strikes, and most of the Philly hitters haven't seen him. My point was that he's unpredictable, but I do agree that he doesn't look good, and it is entirely possible that Philly can get to him.

i think we all need to start factoring in bullpens a little more when we handicap.

i'm going to do some research tomorrow to try and find something like team whip from innings 7 and on, or simply team relievers whip.

I don't bet on a team unless it's one of CK's heavy plays, or they have the better starter (venue included), better bullpen, better BA vs the pitcher, better slugging vs the pitcher, and playing better as a whole as of late.
