Hate to fade my buddy Bread, but there's no way in hell I would put any of my money on Chien-Ming Wang and the Yankees tonight. Hell, I wouldn't even put someone else's money on New York in this one.
Wang, even in good years, hasn't exactly fooled Red Sox hitters, especially at Fenway. Granted, Tim Wakefield may not give you a real warm and fuzzy feeling against the Yankees. But you have two streaks going here: 1) Wang has been sucking pond water this season, and; 2) Boston is a perfect 6-0 against the Yankees this year. If you can't bring yourself to back the knuckler and the BoSox, just take the Over 11 and try to root that in.
The line that really jumped out at me this morning more than any other was seeing the Cubs open as -110 favorites against the Astros. Carlos Zambrano OWNS Houston -- OWNS THEM! Let me say that again so you don't misunderstand me:
CARLOS ZAMBRANO OWNS THE HOUSTON ASTROS!
Now it might not be quite the ownership that Roy Oswalt has over the Cincinnati Reds, but it's still ownership. Assuming he doesn't try to use that muscle between his ears tonight too much, the only batters Crazy Charlie should be worried about in this lineup are Miguel Tejada and maybe Carlos Lee.
Cubs and BoSox.
