Nelson has messed up the team chemistry in the locker room by coming back. They won't win a game until game 4.

I will also be taking the over in game 4. I am not yet decided on whether I will take the total in game 3, although the under would be a great idea as the teams start tightening up rotations and so on.

I'm not one to buy too much into "intangible" angles, but something tells me they are going to be extra fired up to face the Braves tomorrow too. They're still pissed about the McClouth trade. I just have a sneaky suspicion that they are going to open a can of whoop ass on the Braves. It doesn't hurt that they have Duke pitching....who was rocked by the Braves last time they faced him. Normally this would be a red flag but he's handled them well in the past and I think the last game was an anomaly. All the more incentive for him to make up for it tomorrow night.

Yeah, there's a lot I'm seeing in the Pirates favor. Better pitcher, better (hotter) lineup, revenge all around...... Solid, solid dog tomorrow.

I was thinking the same thing Shoe. Power Rankings show that Duke and the Pirates should be small favorites on the road in Atlanta. The Braves have a losing record at home, Kawakami is "decent" at best. I thought Duke might have been terrible on the road, but he's not. The Braves DO hit .270 vs. Lefties, but the Pirates his .269 vs. Righties so no advantage there. Slugging looks close to the same. Maybe it's the travel from Houston to Atlanta with the quick turnaround. I don't know what the hell is up, but this line is way off IMO.

One thing I just considered though.... the Braves faced a lefty today and hit him pretty hard. Although that was mostly just Chipper with 2 HR's and 5 RBI vs Parra.

Regardless, I don't think today's game is factored into the numbers we are looking at. I still don't think it matters. The Pirates should be at worst even money tomorrow. I've already made the wager. I don't see the line becoming anymore favorable than the +130 I took it at.

The correct call, shoe. I never was drinking the Orlando kool aid before the finals started. I did have them tonight in a tease with the under too. The fact that they covered tonight is even better for the Lakers to get the cover in the next game. LA is too deep and too talented to lose to this Orlando squad. it will only get worse from here on out.
