1) Rockies @ Cardinals ( Cardinals to win (-1.5)
The Last placed Rockies take on the St louis Cardinals Tonight.Wainwright is on the Mound for the cardinals and Jorge De la rosa is going to be pitching for the Rockies.Wainwright has been dominant against the rockies with a 0.52 ERA in the last 2 meetings.He is coming of a not so impressive performance against the Giants and what better stage than to get back to pitching to a side he likes pitching to the most.I see Wainwright striking out a lot of the rockies batters tonight and keeping the ERA to the minimum.On the other Hand Jorge de la rosa is still a young pitcher learning the hang of the game.ALbert pujols has been hitting hot for the cardinals and De rosa has a few problems to take care of already.I see the pressure getting to him and he will be tagged for runs.I see this pick as a very confident one.Good luck!!
2) Rangers @ Boston Red sox ( Game totals Over 10)
The Rangers will be visiting the Hitter friendly Fenway park tonite to take on the Boston red sox.Both teams are coming off good offensive performances and there is no reason to think why this should be changing when they battle at fenway park tonight.Given the small ball park coupled with good offensive teams,even if it is taking a chance i would happily take it.On the mound for the rangers will be millwood and sox are going to be countering with Brad Penny.I expect the boston offense to get to millwood at the start and rough him up,and the rangers will respond with a few runs from their side.I would like to see how the game totals move but for me this is my second strong play tonite,the game will be over 10..hell yeah it should be.
3) Royals @ Blue Jays ( Game totals over 7.5)
This happens to be another very strong play for tonight.Its Greinke for the royals against Ricky romero for the blue.The game totals are placed at 7.5 because greinke is the leading pitcher for the royals and has an ERA OF 1.10.Fair enough.The thing to be noted here is that Greinke has not pitched well at the rogers center where he is 1-3 with a 6.65 ERA.On the other hand,blue jays starter ricky romero has allowed 5 runs in consecutive defeats.If you combine the ERA of these two pitchers then the line comes close to 7,but if you see their performances at the rogers center alone,then the total will sail over 10..This is going to be a high scoring game,i have placed a bet at over 7.5 though i would be watching the movement on this one.I won't be surprised if it goes down to 7 as well considering all the money going on the under.This one points towards the over.
I have had a couple of really good days and i feel good about the fact that the games that i capped went just according to the way i wanted them and saw them.Yes,i did get lucky on a couple of them but then thats a part of gambling i suppose.I hope that some of you tailed me on my plays last nite and won as well.I have three plays right now,i will keep updating them so just check the thread from time to time.Cheers!
