I usually play just straight or run lines but do totals occasionally..80% no joke, I was posting on a different site I just signed up here..

cubs is the best play. cubs are 8-2 in 1o career zebrano starts in cincy with 5 of them being shutouts.

Look out for that Cubs pick. I'm seeing the Reds money controlling the line with a measly 17% on their side. Not saying the Cubs won't win, but somebody out there likes the Reds tonight and put a small fortune on them. Having said that, I like the Cubs tonight but didn't play them because of the crazy line movement. Good luck sir.

As an aside: Do you only play on the Cubs or do you pick a side in every game they play, sometimes betting against them? TIA

ram i think he bets either the cubs or there oppoents... i really like this idea... i've done it alittle bit with the tribe.... never followed it all the way through... just gotta have a good feel one way or another

I like these threads but IMO they're usually unsuccessful because they're often "homer" picks. Not saying this thread will go that route......

The 1 guy that did the Marlins thread bet on them like 20 times but only against them maybe twice.

Good point...maybe keep a record of how many times you bet on or against the cubbies or white sux.... Might help you avoid that homer attitude that has been mentioned.... The guy with the Marlin thread never had a chance because he actually thought they were good! Bet with his heart...not reality...

No I simply cap each cubs game, I bet against them when I think they'll lose, I pick my spots and have been pretty successful with it. I'll keep track of bets on the cubs and against the cubs to help get better. I'm just from Chicago and I find it a lot easier to focus on 1 or 2 teams all season long instead of the whole board, I feel thats where a lot of people lose money, betting games and teams they don't really know. However baseball is the only sport I do this with. If I don't stick with this plan i'll often find myself betting early games just for action and making stupid picks that cut into my winnings..
