New to SBR - Money Line Plays

Hello everybody,
I am new to the SBR forum and am hoping to contribute in any way possible. I have been betting and handicapping games for about 15 years and have gone through some good times but also some really rough patches. I finally have found some consistent success playing primarily Home Money Line Favorites, though I will throw in the occassional road fave, home dog or O/U. Never road dogs. I've been keeping track of my picks at another site since August 2008 and that's how I've figured out that my strength lies in Money Line selections and that is now what I primarily bet on.

All of my picks are Risk to Win 1 unit for faves, or risk 1 unit for dogs. Over the last year I am almost +50 units overall on Money Line picks. Of course, I will start at 0-0 for the purpose of record keeping here. Usually I suffer from the posting jinx, but figured I would give it another try at SBR. My picks for today are:

SportsTerminator - Can't go wrong taking the Phillies considering the fact that they seem to beat San Diego everytime they play in SD. The line yesterday baffled me even though SD had Peavy on the mound. But, I stayed away because I always stay away from games with fishy lines. In fact, any line I personally perceive as fishy I play against and have been tracking it now for 6 months elsewhere. It did well in college hoops, not so well in MLB so far...

Way to go Fish Fish 5-0 is a very nice start. The only thing I would point out (and I'm only doing this because people are going to tell you this in a more accusatory way down the line) is that you're record is 5-0, however that does not mean you are up 5 units. You are actually up less than that because all your plays have been big favorites. Keep up the good work though man.

Most people play favorites "to win" instead of "risk". So one loss at -150 is -1.5 units, but a win at -150 is still +1 units. So he is in fact up 5 units.

I've haven't met many people that don't wager this way.

Greetings Sir . . . New to this forum myself . . .
If I had to pick 1 out of the 4 I would take the Nats . . . I know they stink . . . and they shouldn't be favored . . . Nats listed pitcher was 5-0 at one time
(I did'nt even know that they've won 5 games)
Some Mets are hurt or on th dl and best of all Redding is pitching . . . I'm from Long Island N Y and he doesn't even belong on the Ducks!!! Nee I say more?
