    College World Series Handicappers?
Anyone out there capping the CWS? I don't know a whole lot about the teams, but I'm interested in betting on it and wondering if anybody's got picks out there.

As a baseball capper normally, I see value in two picks today, although I don't really have a ton of evidence to back these up (college baseball stats are a bit harder to come across).

TCU -125: Stronger team, playing first game of the day, at home, vs. a weak Pac-10 opponent who already tired themselves out with a 13 run performance earlier today

Louisville -150: Looking to avenge their 4-3, 10 inning loss to Vandy earlier this year. Very good ranked team at home against unranked and tired opponent. I expect Louisville to win. Any thoughts on these?

looks like Louisville down early but if the rest of today's #1 seeds are any indication, these appear to have good value. Thats pretty much the extent of my research on the subject, probly take a flyer on TCU for the price. BOL.

#1 seeds 5-0 so far, 2 more currently up double digits, all #1 seeds won or on pace to win with the exception of Louisville, 12-1 overall if they ended now.

does anyone have the lines for the uci/sdsu?

uci is probably going to win this game (7-3 right now)

can someone also give me the uci/virginia line after those are up?

        thanks

I am currently pacing the floor waiting for this Irvine game to finish and that line to be released. If it's anything less than UVA -150 I am hammering the shit out of it.

Louisville definitely was a disappointment today...TCU tied at 4 going into the bottom of the 9th. Lets hope these bad boys pull out a win (validating my hatred for Oregon State stemming from being a bitter Cal student, and punching my card haha).

We shall see. I think my boys are the hottest team in the nation though. Andrew White? Beat him. Stephen Strasbugh? Who? Cal-Irvine? They got a team?

They're gonna give us Ole Miss in the Super, assuming Ole Miss can win tomorrow. UVA is 7-0 in the post season now. I can't wait to get some of that white meat.

I bite the bullet and read the articles from the newspaper of the town that the regional is being held in, TBill. If you find a better way, please let me know. But Google News makes it really easy, and you'll learn much more than the pitching matchups too.

Seriously, alright here's my card for today:

South Carolina + 120: The pitching matchup looks to be favorable (ECU's starter got lit up in relief against USC earlier in the tournament), and South Carolina is a stronger team from a much much stronger conference. I'll roll with the Gamecocks today.

Vanderbilt +125: I'm changing my pick from yesterday, because it looks like Louisville's hitters simply can't keep up with a more well-rounded Vandy team. Louisville also only has 2 true starters, neither of which will be pitching today. Any team that depletes their rotation so thoroughly in the regular season also must have a weak bullpen, giving Vandy a pretty big edge in pitching. I'll take the Commodores here, albeit with some hesitance.
