Ok, my boys went ahead and SWEPT the ACC tournament and ended the season with a #6 RPI and a top 10 ranking. Their reward from the dumbass selection committee? Sent all the way across the country, 3,000 miles, to play in the #1 team in the nation's (Irvine) regional. Oh, and the whip cream on top of that cake? First round you get Uber Prospect Steven Strasburg - the best pitcher to ever exit a woman's birth canal.

Ok. We'll deal with it. Strasburg? Nahhhh. 5-1 UVA. Next up the #1 team and host UCI. How'd that go? 5-0. First time they'd been shut out since March '08. So after Irvine dispatched SDSU tonight and compiled 14 runs in doing so (WOW they must be getting hot), what do you think happened in the nightcap elimination game for them? Well I'm glad you asked. I'll tell you. They got beat again by UVA, this time 5-1. So in 18 innings of ball, UVA beat Irvine 10-1..... and in the process they earned their first ever trip to a Super Regional.


Fellas, I don't make suggestions here. I post my plays and leans and that's that. I think you all know how heavy I WANTED to go on this play tonight. This team is not only talented, tested and good.... they have that "IT". I'm going to go out there and tell you..... urge you..... This is like a blue chip stock being launched as an IPO right now. If Ole Miss can manage to win tomorrow they will host UVA in the Super. UVA is so much better than Ole Miss. Forget about the fact they are the hottest team in the nation. They will dominate Ole Miss. Honest odds right now -- UVA 3/1 to win the CWS. Book some futures players. Book those futures. This team is the next Oregon State. They will make it to Omaha and they are a solid 3/1 favorite to win it with their pitching and defense.
