I'm thankful. He took what would have been a losing day for me and turned it into a push, and then kept going and turned it into a winning day when he hit Rizzo to secure the over 7. Indeed, Bravo Chapman!!

I'm with Machine! By the way, Machine, it won't let me transfer bet points for some reason, but EXCELLENT call on your thread. He called the score 5-4... impressive

              Lol

              Ok

Chapman is the closer. No second guessing bringing him in.

The idea of one guy that always pitches the ninth inning is traditional wisdom that I don't fully understand. 7th and 8th inning is situational based on whose in the bullpen and who's batting but going with the same guy every ninth inning you have a small lead seems odd.

Agree. With that said, no one could have foreseen Clippard being more effective than Chapman.

Get on the Rockies asap. Cubs will only get a few hours of rest before game time.

Baseball can be so weird. Glad they were able to pull it off.

Moving forward... Arietta was a batsman last night too. Hard to see how that will realistically affect him today (he swung a few times and then went and sat down again), but you never know. ROCKIES are probably a good play today as a dog, however. Today we find out if these guys filled their adderrall scripts. Have definitely heard it's common in the league but would also think it's a banned substance. Who knows though, maybe someone can inform on that. But yeah, Rockies at home against a team that was probably up until 5 AM, should be good to go. Would think the game goes OVER with lots of sloppy defense coming from the Cubs tonight, but I also think they will hit the shit out of the ball as they will be in that lucid state that can come from exhaustion where you don't give a fk and just grip it and rip it. Coors Field hasn't had an over in awhile. Doesn't mean it's due or anything but think there may be one tonight.

Well even though they played a day later the analysis held up. There's always a worry though, man would it suck to not have this game go 8.5 due to rain.
