Great stuff and good thoughts. A question: Have you noticed any big line movement on your O/U plays (with the odds or with the actual O/U "number")? That is would one usually get better odds betting those games already when you post the plays or closer to the games starting? Would be interesting (but timetaking) to track, would definitely have a small impact on the ROI in the long run if there is something significant.
I don't usually know the total until I log in to my sports book and make the wager 5 minutes before game time. This whole thing revolves around totals at closing time, so I have to do it that way. I know it's hard for you because of where you live. Typically, though, it's hard to get a MLB total to budge more than .5 run throughout the day, so there's probably not too much of a difference taking the bet several hours before game time.
