For some reason it in my head pitchers typically struggle after throwing one, not sure if that accurate or not. Seems like a mixed bag with plenty of guys having solid starts game after no hitter. Not like volquez had to throw a lot of pitches so not terribly worried. Him and Cole have been touched up by these lineups. Of the 2 volquez in much better form of late even before the no no. Cole been a mess recently as have the Pirates blowing 2 games they should have won in balty. Those kind of losses can wear on a team. +130 or better on the fish seems like pretty good deal.Comment -

Under in Detroit starting to draw my interest. Been nice to grab 9 at open, may go ff instead of game. Don't like cowboy Joe west calling balls/strikes and certainly don't much care for either pen. I do like both starters chances of pitching well, both been excellent during day starts. Fulmer should have little problems w halo's. Despite my dislike of ump fulmer has pitched few good games w him behind plate. Tigers ff rl def has some appeal as well.Comment -

Tend to agree it close. Prob lower, like 4-4 at some point. Leake certainly superior but same could be said for every pitching matchup this series. Weakness of cards lineup and poor defense kinda negate that edge. Total opened little higher than I would have liked in Chicago, 8.5 as expected but crazy juiced to the over so really 9 which higher than I would have liked. Not gonna pay retarded juice on over 8.5, not thrilled with 9 needing 10 to win. Maybe if I could get ov 9 at plus money later on or a reasonable priced 8.5 I would consider. I looked up the records on pitchers after throwing a no hitter last night, and found that the last 5 are 5-0 but beyond that it gets mixed like you said. But I think out of those last 5, Arrieta was two and Scherzer might have been two, can't remember. I agree about Cole, he has been bad, I don't think his walk numbers show it, but his command has been awful. He's a high emotional type who used to be automatic at Home after a bad outing. I don't know if he lost that competitive edge or just lost talent. The Pirates also have a terrible record after a 1 run loss. I thought the price was a little high and that kind of scared me off with the success Mr.Lock has been having, not that I can read them like him, but that was my impression.

I kinda tried to throw out the results by big time aces as I figured it have more negative effect on guys not expecting to do it. But yea was still enough of a mixed bagged I certainly didn't consider the results damning (thanks for checking)..
I never worry about trying to read much into a line, while I know some guys have success doing so it always been a exercise in futility for me. Im much more into getting a price I like and if anything figuring out why a line is set where it is and whether that is justified.Comment -
