The Cardinals really aren’t doing much of anything yet this year, and that includes hitting against right handed pitching. Now couple that with a middle of the night trip home, which results in getting to bed about dawn in St. Louis, and you have a poor hitting club with fatigue. That equals a favorite?
Weaver and Garcia are pretty much a toss-up these days, and most handicappers would say “I don’t want any part of either of them!” Neither do I really, except that the Padres are a better lefty hitting club than the Braves are right, Padres would hate to get swept, and the odds are way out of proportion to the probability. Can anyone honestly say the Braves have a better than 61.4% chance of bringing home the bacon?
