Haha thanks man, ya the 1st inning had me worried, but it was nice to see that hit. So frustrating to be doing well on single plays, but just getting destroyed on parlays, i think i gotta scale the parlays down, once i get some of those units back. Just gonna do some heavy 2 team parlay action for now. Thanks for following and commenting. Everyone else seems to be a ghost. Nice to hear some feedback and know someone else is making money too.

Ya that streak was unrepeatable and unreal. Definitely set a nice tone for the year so far. But ya my whole goal was to be consistent everyday with posting first off, but more importantly winning daily/weekly/yearly. Which so far pretty good, glad you're tailing most days, makes it easier to post everyday. Otherwise i'd be just doing my own thing privately... not sharing. It's just so nice for feedback and discussion, keeps you sharper and more on it.

Unreal streak. What's your angle?

I think all handicapping is essentially is 'educated guessing'. So what i do is, first always look at the line movement and which way its moving , i usually peek at that when they come out at night and then the next morning and then for as late as i can until i'm ready to bet. But factored in to that is also what side the public loves, and then of course i check into the side i like, usually is against public and with the line movement. (for instance if a favorite is going up, and price is still decent or i really like it, il take it, if a favorite line is moving down, i might play against it most of the time) So after looking for movement and public sides, i obviously check pitchers and lineups, and how hot somebody or a team is for their last series or week or whatever. Also weather plays a role as does home and away, especially for totals.

That is basically what i do, and my 'angle' i suppose.

Thanks man, ya long term public loses, so alot of just picking spots and looking for value was something else i forgot to mention, i rarely take ML over -180, and if i do its usually parlayed. Just easier to take dogs and make money consistently that way.

reesp18, I read your thread every day, always hoping to learn something. Line movement is an interesting angle, and your insights on this angle are appreciated.

I've read that the lines makers come out with an opening line. As the betting crowd puts in their bets, the line fluctuates and closes accordingly. The question then is, essentially, who determines the closing line? The betting public as a whole or a few smart betting shops? Is the betting crowd as a whole smarter than the lines makers? Thanks.
