Attempting to do a MLB totals only thread

Disclaimer: 1st year of existence so bet at your own risk. I will not make any claims of winning 100s of units at seasons send.

Theoretical bet selection: Play selection will be determined by over under streaks starting at 3 games and continuing forward. Will continue betting o/u streak until it loses. Once a streak is over, regardless of when it is, the betting series is over.
I will be using covers print sheet

Good stuff buddy. Just be very cautious during spring training. I never risk more than 0.5% of BR on any sort of ST game and actually try to stay clear from them.

If your system doesn't do well during ST, just brush it off and focus on the regular season. Get em!

If you aren't considering pitcher in a baseball game, especially a total, you are bound to lose. If you insisted on doing something foolish like betting streaks, it might be better to go with starting pitchers instead of just teams.

I hear ya and given that plenty of thought but how many times have kershaw pitched a shutout only to have the dodgers score 6 runs when the o/u is 5.5? or two #5 starters in the rotation playing ot coors field pitch the games of their lives and the score is 1-0

Im sure there is some mathematical relationship between pitches ERA and WHIP and the O/U and certain linesmakers have already accounted for that. This is why I put a disclaimer on the first post to bet at your own risk.

You have April 7 pick to say SF over 8
then for the results you say SF over 7 being a win. They scored six runs!!!!

col under 9 (Streak total 3)1% of bankroll 11 to win 10 Explanation: col vs LAD the game total is 9. Since the score is 4-2 this is a WIN. Tomorrow will be col vs lad under (streak total will be 4 since this is a win)

So then you are actually betting the over or under in the game because I know of no Sportsbook that lets you bet a streak like that?
i think that's what you're doing but I have no theory as to why you would bet the under twice when teams are playing each other.
Mom this I havent a clue what you are doing.
Many chance you can show me a bet with the bet amount shadowed out of the picture?

im currently out of town at a funeral but coming home today where i can work off my desktop instead of this chromebook.
I just realized Ive a tracking error or two so thanks for pointing it out

seeing this is only a week old, i can fix everything when i get home tonight,but to try and give you a generic answer to some of your questions:
1. im betting on game totals only
2. look at the fax/print sheet from covers http://www.covers.com/faxsheets/index.aspx
If you look all the way to the right it shows you the totals and the streak length. This is what im using to determine bet selection. If the total streak is greater than 3 then i betting on it.
3. if two teams are playing each other and they both have an over/under total of three im making 2 bets, one for each team. Basicly betting to win two units

I have no idea if this will be profitable and i am not going guarntee it either. I back tested it on last years numbers and it produced 40+ units. As much as i would love to spend hours on end checking out records, numbers, starting pitcher,era, whip,etc..... i dont have time for that and its not worth it to make a $10 bet. I check out the fax report, find my plays, make the bet, post it here all in under 5 min.

I would strongly suggest you check out double dime and technical trader mlb picks and post
they have a few 1000 post to their credit and their picks seem legit over last few mlb seasons
