Bet Tracking Spreadsheet
After building an excel spreadsheet to track our upcoming 16 man tournament, I decided to pare it down into a single bettor sheet and post it. Good record keeping is so important for keeping track of your progress, especially for new bettors. I'm sure most people have their own systems already, but for anyone that's interested, it's here for you. There are three tabs in the sheet.
PLACE YOUR BETS
- Here you enter the bet information (date, team, bet type, price, wager size, and result). Additionally, you can set the date range for the more detailed summary on the DATE RANGE tab here, and enter your starting bankroll (optional).
SUMMARY (read only)
- Shows your season results, including a couple interesting stats such as a weighted average of the odds you play, Z-Scores, and your performance broken down by Dogs/Faves.
VIEW DATE RANGE (read only)
- Here you can look at specific date ranges to see how you played in a given week/month. To set the parameters, change the start & end dates on the PLACE YOUR BETS tab
The two read only tabs are password protected because you don't need to do anything on those tabs. If, however, you're in the mood to play with it, the password is bigdog. Enjoy.
