So, are the books & the public assuming the Cubs are going to mail it in today after clinching yesterday???? I mean at home -126, and the lineups aren't out yet???? Just guessing here.....

I don't really buy into baseball teams mailing it in .. Its one thing if they are benching their horses, but guys in the MLB really care about their numbers, if anything I see the pressure being off leading to more relaxed play. Baseball doesn't compare to football and basketball where that extra edge of effort and wanting it more can carry you to a win. That's just my two cents tho.

Well, as evidenced last week when they got the division, they "benched" most of their starters & it cost them two-three games. That is a fact. So, I guess I am saying the same thing today, only in a different way: "Mailing it in". LOL.

Cubs have regular lineup, and you'd think these games vs. Cardinals are the last games this regular season Cubs would take seriously.
