Between Japan and MLB, Ichiro is now only one hit shy of Pete Rose's pro record of 4,256 hits

I can't say that I blame him. Poor guy, the hit record is all he has left. The hits Ichiro got in Japan certainly shouldn't count, but I think Ichiro has proven that if he played his whole career in the US, Pete's hit record would be in jeopardy.
