DENVER — Giants pitcher Matt Cain exited Friday night’s game at Coors Field with a right hamstring strain, walking off the field after retiring the second batter in the second inning.
He was accompanied to the dugout by trainer Dave Groeschner, who rushed to the mound after Cain showed he was in pain. Cain has been slowed in recent years with elbow problems and just recently was getting back in rhythm.
