Model has loved Houston as favorites both games in this series so far and it is 0-2. More of same today although not quite a 60%ers, Astros 59% (-144).

What I'm really interested in is a team with long odds in making the playoffs.

Right now I've got a bit down on the Astros, with average odds about and about +3500. It's a long season, but I'm about convinced they're dead.

Anyway, I kind of like either the Pirates or Cardinals, both of them are +2800. I like those odds, the problem is they're both inevitably going to have to win a play-in game, since the Cubs will likely win the division.

Which of those two teams do you like better? And do you like any other longshots out there? I was thinking maybe Tampa Bay at +4000, as well.

I prefer Cardinals by a smidgeon over Pirates, but really not thrilled about either. I think Cleveland +2500 is better than either of those +2800.

The one Rangers pitcher I never bet against is Hamels. Keuchel has not looked very good this year.

Definitely like the + odds with the better form pitcher. Also Texas seems to own Houston last two years

Rangers +1600 seems a little low, but they are getting Yu who has looked great in minors which gives them Hamels, Darvish, and they have a history of going for it at the trade deadline if they think they are close. White Sox have been one of the best teams in the league and are still +1600

I get 7.9 on total. A bit too close to 8.5, but + odds on the Under could be tempting. Passing as of now though.

I don't mind +1400 with best pitching staff in baseball. Best 1-4 right now and will be even better when Wheeler supplants Colon as #5.

do you have any thoughts on Mariners -1.5? I see you dont really play RLs that much but too much juice for the ML and Cincy has been down right awful recently

If I am not mistaken, I have made three run line plays this year and they are 3-0. With that being said, as you see from the 60%ers, I have Seattle -156 on ML and I have -156 road favorite approximately equivalent to -1.5 +100. That is to close too the actual RL juice right now.
