If average runs per game is your standard for ranking teams then that's fine. Kinda glad MLB disagrees or the playoff seeding would look really weird right now.

It's just one stat... However Philly does it, they've managed to pump out 24 wins. And unless you seriously think Detroit is a better team than the White Sox, I wouldn't put too much trust in that list...

That is just one "tool" I use to guestimate teams vs. each other. It is not a "Bible". But your Phillies are rated second last in RPG just above the team they are playing. It also has tons of statistical information, if one were to care to look. but again, just one tool. Just don't tell me Philly is a contender this year. LOL. Especially at this point in the season. that nobody knows the heck what they're DOING!!! 95% of us are throwing darts and missing the board.

Finally - on a humorous note - Can I ask what your unit size is? Or is that too personal for you to share with anyone other than your woman?

Need some advice on Cards fellas - really like Martinez and he is very good at home and vs Arizona in 3 career starts.
Should I stay away? I am so tempted to take Cards tonight. I am already on Under 7.5

The average size of a human male "unit" is 5. 25". I am average or less, depending on if I am drinking. LOL>

I'll be the first to admit I have no idea what I'm doing! I throw 1k into the account for baseball and bet my gut in $100 units. When I lose it I quit. If I take home a little in earnings at the end of the season, I'm content.

Really, it's my means of keeping up to date with what's going on with the games and enjoying a little banter with you fine fellas!

I think there are a couple threads on sbr that discuss the other "unit" you're referring to.

The more I look into this game, more I like Angels tonight...but again, I'm left with no $ in my BR to back them.
O's are bad vs lefties and not so tough on the road...Angels playing well lately and Santiago a good guy to back at home last season and is 5-2 this season...maybe best guy on their rotation.

I don't know if you knew but martinez been going through some off the field issues and perhaps the reason his performance been less than stellar recently. With that said it seems like a really great spot for him to bounce back 2nite at home. Personally staying away to see how he does.

But then again, that's all we have in this game: statistics and gut feelings, and we put our meager pennies on the line and see if our discernment lines up with reality. Another game, another roll of the dice, another venture out into the great unknown. BOL.

I don't understand why people play crapshoot games like this. St. Louis is like top 3 in scoring, Arizona is like top 10, both have mediocre pitchers, literally ANYTHING can happen. Stay away. One man's opinion.

Thanks man...will probably stay away...personally I think Zona wins 2 of 3 in the series, and possibly they have a shot tonight. Sticking with the Under.
