Max's agent did a great job in cashing in on the right time, a couple of years ago, because he's a power pitcher. Strikes out a lot of batters, but he can be figured out and he can be beat.

Cubs are just a fukkin (money) machine. No exaggeration -- this may be the beginning stages of the best baseball team that any of us have seen in our lifetime. Historic. And loaded with young talent, good contracts, depth and minor league talent. I don't think they will break the 118 win record, but they might.

Now is Max a real "good" pitcher= yes. But come on he had one real good year with Detroit, followed by a stud #1 ace year following season that cashed his lotto ticket. Since signing with Nats however I would be willing to bet he is losing you $$ if you back him every gm generally at -150/280 odds (but not today since price was cheap on superior squad at home).

Now I'm not talking trash on just Max here. Hes good and all MAYBE in top 15 but these "aces" in all mlb are death. Seems they either shit bed... for some that's rare. But most seem to win those 1 run games majority of time with no run support killing most bets backing them. Wonder why maybe because 90% of tickets took rl.
