You are unlucky, for me the WilliamHill rule should be the rule for all bookmakers:
The game must go at least 9 innings of play (or 8.5 if the home team is ahead) for bets to have action, otherwise bets are void unless a winning market has already been established.

Will Hill is a Euro book, all USA facing books adhere to the Vegas standard, which requires nine innings for totals to count.
